It is important that you initially focus on the story and resist the temptation to jump off the beaten track when you begin playing Genshin Impact. Continue following the story until you have formed your full team lineup which will be the four characters the game gives you for free. These characters will be the main character you selected at the start of the game, the lightning wizard Lisa, the ice swordsman Kaeya, and the fire archer Amber. Trying to explore the world without this core group of characters will be problematic and won’t be as rewarding as you will not have specific elements needed to solve many of the environmental puzzles.
