Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo sponsor the new video game awards show, The Game Awards 2014 set to take place on December 5th, 2014 in no other than Las Vegas.
Following the community event on the Sony’s PlayStation Experience, also held in Las Vegas, this show will take a different spin than the ever popular, Spike Video Game Awards or as it’s been re-dubbed, VGX. Both events will be held in December but unlike Spike TV’s rendition, this award show’s purpose is to celebrate gaming and bring forth a holistic venture to this industry.
At the foot of this affair is producer of the Spike’s VGX and hardcore gamer, Geoff Keighley where according to Variety he “wants the event to acknowledge the place of video games at the center of modern entertainment and culture — and make it available to a far larger audience.”
Gamers and girl gamers alike don’t miss out on the world premieres, musical performances and “other” surprises in store! As well as a panel of top executives for many favorites like Nintendo, PlayStation, Konami, Xbox, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and Warner Bros among others.
Get your tickets available TODAY on Ticketmaster ($45/ticket, including fees) and save your seat at the Axis Theater in Las Vegas. For those of you on a budget or just rather sit this one out (I hear ya), this will also be streamed via Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC.
