Girls Make Games Weekend Workshop at MIT

San Jose Indie Studio LearnDistrict provides students opportunities to acquire knowledge via games and programs. One such program is called, Girls Make Games which is a series of international summer camps, workshops, and game jams designed to encourage girls to explore the world of video games. The program provides career discussions with indsutry professionals, hands on activities, and fields trips to local game development companies for girls ages 9-15. Students are offered mentorships, intro college academics in video game design, and Q&A with project leaders. Workshops are held all over the world with available financial aid for students.
